Ukraine continues to strengthen its position in the global oil market



According to the State Customs Service, the total exports of butter from Ukraine in January-May of 2018 amounted to 14.792 thousand tons. 

“There was not only an increase in exports, but also a significant increase in imports of this dairy product. Exports of butter from Ukraine to international markets in January-May of 2018 increased by 42.3% compared to the same period of 2017 (8.538 thousand tons), while imports grew by 47.4%,” the analytical department comments.

“The price index has increased by 50%, during the first five months of 2018 it amounted to 63.329 million USD, whereas in 2017 it was only 31.633 million USD. The total value of butter exports amounted to 12.586 million USD in May of this year, which is 1.401 million USD more than during the same month of the last year (11.125 million USD),” the expert adds.

Note that according to the State Customs Service, the total exports of butter from Ukraine in 2017 amounted to 30.454 thousand tons with the total value of 129.937 million USD.

The analytical department also admits that during the period of January-May the total imports of butter to Ukraine amounted to 0,483 thousand tons with the total value of 3.177 million USD, which is 241% more than during the same period of the last year (1,313 million USD).
